Riga, 10. – 11. April 2014
The WG4 meeting took place in the Wellton Old Riga Palace Hotel (Riga, Latvia), organised by Eugene Kotomin from the Institute of Solid State Physics of the University of Latvia. The two-day meeting attended by 30 participants from 13 countries was focused on the role of defects in practical applications of reducible oxides.
Lively discussions specifically addressed that there is a contradiction in experimental and theoretical predictions of hafnia properties which needs further analysis and that the information on the behavior of oxygen vacancies specifically for advanced materials for solid oxide fuel cells, such as (La,Sr)(Co,Fe)O3 is still incomplete.
